World’s 11th Largest Mall

Do you know that the world’s 11th Largest Mall is located in Cebu? I never even expected it, not until I searched the web for answers. Surprisingly SM City Cebu is only a seat behind the top ten largest malls in the World.

With a huge gross floor area of 268,611 square meters, there is no wonder why it belongs to a good spot. SM Prime Holdings owns SM City Cebu, which also operates several SM malls around the Philippines. The moment I heard that Imax is coming to Cebu, I couldn’t help but cross my fingers that it will come so soon. SM City Cebu is currently working on an IMAX theater and will make it available to the moviegoers late this 2008 or in 2009. The theater has been anticipated for so long by movie buffs in Cebu. Finally, I was able to visit the newest extension of SM, the Northwing. I didn’t get to join its launching date but I heard it was quite an event, along with ABS-CBN’s Deal or No Deal show which was set on the Northwing’s parking lot.
