Cebu Hospitals: Gullas Medical Center
Cebu Hospitals: Vicente Gullas Medical Center
I bet you already noticed that I haven’t been able to post for several days now. Well, actually, I had this surgery that requires the need for the inevitable anesthesia and obviously I had to recuperate for days right before I can come up with a sane article for TotallyCebu.
For years, I’ve never been confined in any hospital except in Vicente Gullas Medical Center, or was Vicente Gullas Memorial Hospital. My mother’s been working in this hospital for so very long already. I think, 10-15 years? I’m not sure though but I’m thankful to have been operated here. Why? It’s because I know some of the people here and they are indeed comfy to be around with. continue reading » »
Sugbahan: A comprehensive review (part 2)
The place
First off, the building is big enough for a hefty number of customers. People outside can see the customers dining inside and that’s actually a strategy there for me. When people see people eat their lunch or dinner, there could be a chance for them to try out that certain restaurant. Anyway, the place inside is indeed “spacey”. Interior decorations, perfectly lit, tables and chairs are neatly arranged plus the warm welcome of waiters and waitresses and the Ma’m Emeyn M. Calunsag, the OIC of Sugbahan. The second floor is actually the function room for several occasions and, from what I saw, I think 50+ people can enjoy their time eating their favorite Sugbahan favorite. continue reading » »

If you’ve been visiting TotallyCebu for a while now, you can always tell, by the look, of our layout that it simply denotes TotallyCebu. The topics may vary but there is still that lingering feeling of solid and partially comprehensive review of certain subjects while some are just tell-all experiences that we had in the past. It’s not entirely egotistical for us to brag (at least to our friends) that we’ve been in Olango, Waterfront, Alegre, Hilton and dined in some fancy restaurants for sometime in our lives, but it’s all about sharing. Now, I’m being sarcastic. I apologize for that one. Anyway, what can I say, it’s all about Cebu right? continue reading » »
Hospitals in Cebu (part 2)
Cebu Doctors Hospital
One of the big three hospitals of Cebu is the Cebu Doctors Hospital, which is located nearby the Cebu Capitol Building. This is known so since they boast with professional doctors that have been in their certain fields, studying, for years.
Cebu Doctors Hospital was considered to be one of the most efficient and well-established hospitals in Cebu, but there were certain issues that brought the whole establishment into the bottom. Firstly, there is not enough parking space for the visitors and one has to leave their cars first in a distant and walk. Second, the security is not that impressive at all. continue reading » »
La Tegola: The real taste of Italy in Cebu
La Tegola Ristorante Italiano: the real taste of Italy in Cebu
I’ve always been a fan of the island Cebu and, for years, it simply keeps getting better and better. And why is that? There are newly constructed beach resorts, hotels and commercial establishments that releases the overall capacity and future potential of Cebu. And also, the restaurants are sprouting all over that ranges from the authentic food culture of Korean, Japanese, French, Vietnamese, Chinese and, the ever-loved, Italian food.
Here in Banilad, the La Tegola Ristorante Italiano is one of those Italian food cuisines that deliver a great deal when it comes to Italian dishes. It’s not just the name, of course, but also what delectable and tasty dishes that are being served here. continue reading » »
Hospitals in Cebu: (part 1)
Hospitals in Cebu: (part 1)

Cebu is no puny when it comes to medical care as well as the sophisticated facilities that can indeed qualify as one of the best. Actually, the big three hospitals that I’m about to mention are not just the best in Cebu, but can be also considered as one of the best in the Philippines as well as achieving the world-class mark. The Cebu Doctors Hospital, Chong Hua Medical Hospital and Perpetual Soccour Hospital are simply at its best in terms of quality medical service, facilities and, of course, attentiveness and accuracy.
These hospitals in Cebu are considered by the Cebuanos themselves to have reached that peak into providing advanced medical services not only with the medical instruments but also the doctors that prove to be the best in the league. continue reading » »
Street Treats of Cebu Part 1
Street Treats of Cebu Part 1
Cebu does not only boast beautiful places, beaches and great people but also when it comes to chows or snacks usually sold on the streets. Oh yes, you heard it right. These street treats can be categorized as Cebu’s premiere fast food, only cheaper and you can eat it anywhere and anytime you want.
Tahó
Firs of, let’s start with the Cebu breakfast treat; the tahó. This is also known as the Cebuano version of tofu. You’ll recognize one when you hear a yell that says; “tahooooo!!!” early in the morning. The three main ingredients are the Cebuano tofu itself, a syrup and sago (tiny balls that I think made of gelatin). I usually feel nostalgic when I eat one since it brings me back to my early days. continue reading » »

It has five-star hotels, casinos, white sand beaches, world-class golf courses, convention centers, and shopping malls.- Wikipedia
