Cebu Beach Resorts: Plantation Bay Resorts and Spa

May 5th, 2008 by Shaun | 0

Cebu Beach Resorts: Plantation Bay Resorts and SpaReviews on Cebu hotels and beach resorts are growing, especially these days since most people are craving for that long-awaited vacation and the need to bask under the glory aura of relaxation. I took a look in some Cebu hotel and resort reviews in several websites and I find them as useful information, be it positively or negatively. Some Cebu hotels and resorts are indeed perfect for travelers while some can be a nightmare. Some say there are some that lives up to become a 5-star hotel in Cebu while some are not.

Perhaps one of the most popular beach resorts in Cebu is the Plantation Bay Resort and Spa. While there are a lot of visitors who frequently visit the resort, there are also a lot that promises not to back. Overall though, it boils to down for a Cebu hotel or resort between either very bad or very good. A perfect 10 or 0. Win or go home. Something like that. In terms of comparing these Cebu hotels from the Kentucky Derby odds, I would not say enough.

So, let us put things into rest, shall we?

One thing I know is that Plantation Bay Resort and Spa, is under my “five-star resorts in Cebu” list. Luxurious, but not as luxurious as the Sistine Chapel, is what I can describe the wholeness of Plantation Bay. I keep things simple, actually but this place indeed captures everyone’s craving for relaxation. It boasts a pastoral and impressive colonial taste type of Cebu beach resort and is perfect for privacy moments. I love quiet places.

Travel to Plantation Bay

Zero in on Plantation Bay’s complimentary transportation. I have read tourists that scratch their heads because they do not know where the private car go wherein it’s actually included in Plantation Bay Resort and Spa travel or vacation package. They wind up riding in the shuttle along with everyone else instead. Overall though, most Cebu resorts that I have read begin with their experience about travelling from the Mactan-Cebu airport.

Also, if you are taking a taxi, do not let those drivers fool you by letting them charge you with ridiculous amounts. Have them flag down those meters instead or you are gonna be paying more than the usual taxi cost.

Upon Checking-in

My experience during my stay in Plantation Bay was, actually, mostly positive. We had our room in no time with the efficiency of the receptionist. I wanted to try out their Quantum Villa section though, but we were out of budget (everything is strictly budgeted). If you are thinking about brining about 10 people here, it’s great for privacy. Or if you are thinking about partying, then you are going to have to look for the other Cebu resorts on your list. For this Quantum Villa, a $200/room is required.

Bedrooms? Lovely and comfortable. The same thing goes with their surrounding, which are great for tourists who are camera-happy. The Mogambo Springs are indeed charming, when I thought they just look good on pictures.

Food

Some say their breakfast buffet is too pricey or not even half way of getting what they paid for. However, some folks think that it was all worth it. I did enjoy the meal I had and I find it a bit over the price, I know it is hotel priced (and most people think of hotel-price as overpriced), but I can say it was delectable. I’d like to have another one without it being pricey.

Overall, along with my friends, we got what we paid for at Plantation Resort and Spa. I love the whole place, the bathroom (I can live in their), the overall service was terrific and I definitely want to go back here again.

We still have not experience a really worse situation from one of the Cebu hotels and resorts though, but I do not want that to happen.
