Cebu Events: Kasalang Filipino 2007
During the weekend, I and my friends ventured into one of Cebu’s popular malls, the Ayala Center. I actually found out about their mall-wide sale, which is kind of not that intriguing for me since I’m always limited in my budget. Anyway, the October 19-21, 2007 is not just about Ayala Center’s mall-wide sale but also the dates for the celebrated Kasalang Filipino 2007, the 3rd Philippine Bridal Road Show.
This is where I found out that not just international videographers, photographers and the likes have displayed their wares all over the wedding industry but also the Cebuanos as well. I’m quite impressed with the overall exhibit that they provided in several parts of the mall that is indeed enticing for lovers to just get married on that instant.
The third run
This is not only for the Cebuanos to be proud of but also to the whole country since it is a nationwide wedding fair exhibit that is focused in united the 11 Philippine cities. These cities that are involved in today’s Kasalang Filipino are Cebu, Dagupan, Manila, Tarlac, Tagaytay, Davao, Cagayan de Oro, Legazi, Iloilo, San Pablo and Dumaguete.
The photographers
The photographers are indeed already a part of the wedding ceremony. For years, they are the ones that captures each moment and making it last longer than some marriage mileage. Well, in most cases, Filipino marriage is way better than Hollywood’s and I’m confident to say that. Anyway, I’ve seen examples of photographs from renowned Cebuano photographers as well as the works of the other photographers across the country. For the record, the photographs are indeed excellent in quality that can rival any international wedding camera works.
The colors, settings, lightings are remarkable. Well, one can certainly question which of these photographs are artificially entailed and which ones are of real talent. Nevertheless, the Cebuanos have already suited themselves into the prominence of the wedding industry.
The videographers
I’ve always been fancinated by film and Ican say the Cebuano videographers qualify as one of the elites in the wedding industry. Dramatic visualization, snappy editing, impressive set of effects plus striking shots of the couple took me about minutes to just stare at it and understand how beautiful a wedding is. Of course, most people would say that "the wedding is the party and marriage is a hangover" but who’s complaining? It’s all about having the most important of a couple’s lives which is enriched with digitalized mechanisms that will preserve its importance for the longest part.
For the most part, Cebuano videographers have situated themselves into becoming one of the most important ideas to have in a wedding day. A video can always be another form of memorabilia for that "Big Day".
The designers
Bridal gowns, altar designs, invitation cards, wedding planners and others; all in one place here in Ayala Center Cebu. There are those bridal gowns patterned by some of the most famous Cebuano designers. I am indeed overwhelmed by the designs as much as it overwhelmed the ladies that were gazing at it for a long time. Perhaps, some of them are willing to hand over that "Yes" to their special someone just because these dresses could be the most beautiful thing that they have laid their eyes on since birth. Of course, we do understand that, right?
Well, to sum it all up, the Kasalang Filipino 2007 is indeed a blast. I noticed that this is only the 3rd Philippine Bridal Road Show and I can quite tell that there’s more to come. This event will become one of the biggest events ever to have occurred here Cebu and to the Philippines as well.

Thank you.
Eventhough it was just a 3-day event (correct me if im wrong), a lot of people in Ayala flocked together to know more about wedding packages, the artworks as well as the wedding gowns created by Filipino designers.

Yes, it was in Ayala. There were booths everywhere with videographers/photographers and gown designers showcasing their talents. It was a whole new atmosphere there and I wanted to get married on that spot right away if ever my girlfriend says “Yes!”. Unfortunately, we’re eons away from that thought.
Still, it’s good to know Cebu’s already solidfying its hold in this industry.
