Cebu Institute of Technology University

The Cebu Institute of Technology University prides itself of producing top-notch graduates, especially on the fields of engineering. Founded by engineers themselves, CITU started in 1946 offering civil, mechanical, electrical and chemical engineering programs, architecture, and vocational course aside from offering high school education. Today, it has grown much bigger offering Computer Studies, Commerce, Nursing, Arts and Sciences, and Education as well.

CITU aims to develop highly skilled yet values-driven, competitive students and citizens. It is a private, non-sectarian academic institution that instils science and technology as a way of life to its students, faculty, and administrators. The students of CITU are called “Technologians”.

Aside from its academic endeavors, the Cebu Institute of Technology University are also involved in social responsibility that are also educational by nature such as providing/sponsoring scholarships, conducting technical talks, and donating to different institutional causes to mention a few. All these are done through its alumni association. By July 2010, the school earned its university status as granted by the Commission on Higher Education.
