Cebu Resorts: Hilton Cebu Resort and Spa
The incoming 2008 Kentucky Derby has been all around the Internet news. Of course, it is going to be a lovely week for horse racing fanatics, who will congregate at Louisvile, Kentucky, USA. That sure is something to look forward too, especially for a friend of mine who recently gave me his opinion about one of the spectacular resorts in Cebu, the Hilton Cebu Resort and Spa.
I was doing my rounds in the Internet actually and had to reserve a seat for the incoming movie, Iron Man, but found rather disturbing news about Dennis Rodman, former player of San Antonio Spurs, Detroit Pistons and Chicago Bulls. I wish him good luck though.
Anyway, Christian, a friend of mine decided to drop me an email about his experience during his stay at the Hilton Cebu Resort and Spa. Actually, he was interested about my article about this Cebu resort sometime in August last year and was curious enough to know more about how Hilton Cebu Resort and Spa apply to his tastes.
This is his email:
I loved the hotel, and the resort, the beach, the sun and the whole area of Hilton Cebu Resort and Spa. As expected from the owners about giving a whole meaning to the word of luxury, lavishness, and comfort that a type of customer, like me, is looking for. I stayed four nights with my wife in a 1 bedroom suite located on the fifth floor. You know me, had enough budget for my comeback here in Cebu from London and I could really say that Hilton Cebu Resort and Spa is the finest resort in Cebu. Not that I am not impressed with the other Cebu hotels and resorts though, but this place indeed captured my tastes.
The room was very elegant, with its European style all over the interior and we had a good time spending our time in a Jacuzzi tub, some DVD movies and the drinks at the mini bar. We should go back there next time and try again Manny O’s Wine & Tapas restaurant. It really is something.
About the security? There is no reason to question since the whole place is really secure. I still trust my instincts about how secure the place is (unlike in some London and Cebu hotels I have been to). Anyway, Hilton Cebu Resort and Spa did their homework.
I checked out every corner at Hilton, I think, and we were able to enjoy their live entertainment on the beach, which is really beautiful. We had some little dessert and a nice cup of coffee (you know me).
There are three restaurants that I visited. First one is the Hola Espana, which I had we had our breakfast. They serve full serving until 12midnight, which is great. Love the service. Second was this Japanese food restaurant and the third one is the Mana Sutukil, which boasted fresh seafood choices but we were charge almost fivefold. I can certainly call that a bad pricing and requires service improvement.
We met last Saturday in Ayala right? And we did not have to take a cab since Hilton Cebu Resort and Spa offers free-of-charge shuttle services to SM and Ayala malls.
Overall, I had a great time. Bar none. I would like to visit more Cebu hotels and resorts someday and would love to own one of the condominiums in Cebu someday. However, I would like us to go back to Hilton again and visit their spa. You know, the Zen style and that pampering that we talk about? Oh, and the private beach. We should try that again also.
Lastly, I would like to thank you for recommending me this Cebu resort and other Cebu resorts that are on my most wanted list. And for Hilton Cebu Resort and Spa, I’m going to put you on top of my list and an anonymous winner among the Cebu hotels and resorts.
