Kenny Roger’s Roasters

Location: Ayala Center Cebu

Right before I went for my vacation in the hospital, I was so craving for chicken meat. I kind of wanted to just gobble up those huge portions but that’s not really the thing for me. In fact, I wanted a healthy plate that could belie my instinct that it’s all just about advertising when it comes to food. There’s no more KFC (Kentucky Fried Chicken) in Ayala Center Cebu (God knows where it’s at now) so me and my girlfriend decided to check Kenny Roger’s Roasters.

The place

It’s a weekday so not a lot of people are around the Kenny Roger’s Roasters section. The first thing I noticed when we got inside was the overall, colorful and indeed-appetizing presentation of their food selections. That certainly is food advertising for you there but IT IS certainly effective if you want people swarming your restaurant. The lights were bright enough, tables and chairs were neat plus the waiters and waitresses were accommodating.

Not so much to ponder about though since I’m really craving to eat some chicken meat.

The food

Anyway, there were a lot of selections for me to choose from but the combo “Healthy Plate’ dragged me to choose it. The combination of chicken meat, fresh fruit salad, blueberry muffin and iced tea do wonders for a simple-minded guy like me. While my girlfriend chose the fried chicken, spaghetti and iced tea cluster.

Minutes later, the food is served. A typical fastfood restaurant, for me, doesn’t really need a hefty amount of minutes for the food to be served but I didn’t complain. After all, the food is here and I’m hungry so I grabbed my first bite of the roasted chicken.

First of all, the blueberry muffin was luscious. The roasted chicken on the other hand made me wanted to get a cup of rice. The fresh fruit salad is my favorite of all since it consists of a slice of apple, peaches, pineapple and mango. That certainly is a healthy combination right there. My girlfriend wishes to add another serving of spaghetti but retaliated sooner after she ate her favorite fried chicken.

Overall?

At Kenny Roger’s Roasters? I really liked their food, especially their food presentation in which it really invites the passersby to try out what they have to offer. The fresh fruit salad does wonders for any customer to try it out and go healthy eating. Today though, Cebuanos are actually getting health-conscious and trying out a serving of fresh fruit salad could certainly revitalize that busy living.
