The concept of a coffee shop, bookstore, business-related venue and restaurant brings the sense of a latest taste to Cebu’s line of restaurants. This is what Tara’s Café and Restaurant is all about and they did just that in one perfect setting that simply brings another option for the Cebuanos and guests’ restaurants list.

The “perfect harmony” theme was the tenure in which owner Butch Guillen wanted to achieve in his idea of engaging into the food business. This, of course, brought the utmost decision on the concept to combine such elements into one. Butch thought of a legitimate place that gives people the lifestyle that is common today; eating, reading, family time, drinking coffee as well as business ventures. This fathomed into the unique place of Tara’s Café and Restaurant.

The venue

Tara’s Café and Restaurant does not only boast a roomy area that, in my own terms, you “can play one-on-one basketball’ in there, since it also features a book and magazine section for those who want to dine and read (reading materials are offered for either for freer reading or sale) as well as a kid’s corner where kids can have fun at their own.

There’s also a boardroom for business-related functions. The boardroom can accommodate up to 25 people and has been the venue for organizations like Lions Club, Manila Memorial Park Rotary, KBP (Kapisanan ng mga Brodkaster sa Pilipinas), Philippine Pediatric Society and Full Gospel Business Men’s Fellowship Int’l Inc.

Food

First thing I ever heard about Mambo #5 is from a song, but Tara’s Café and Restaurant’s version of the term is its enjoyable five-fruit combination drink which is derived of the same name. Other dishes that are worth trying for are the Seafood Pasta, Grilled Pork Steak, Baby Back Ribs, Pochero Steak, Elephant Parade appetizer and the Seafood Hotpot. This, of course, is not complete without Tara’s own version of its asparagus soup.

Coffee

I’ve seen enough of coffee shops, but Tara’s Café and Restaurant offers their own coffee concoction that will definitely fulfill the cravings of coffee lovers. Along with the must-tries include the Black Forest, Mudslide, and the Espresso Macchiato.Tara’s Café and Restaurant is indeed a refreshing and relaxing improvement in the fast-pace activity in the Cebu metropolis. They are open from 9AM to 12 midnights 24/7.
