Cebu Restaurants: UNO of Waterfront Airport Hotel and Casino Mactan

The Waterfront Airport Hotel and Casino Mactan’s main restaurant has converted itself into the freshest interactive restaurants in Cebu. This former hotel coffeeshop now features a brand-new design conception of both Spanish and Filipino-inspired artistic quality.

UNO, not only is renovated to meet customer-needs but to also give that new-look as well as the perception when it comes to the coffeeshop/hotel combination. Conceptualization was the key and this resulted into an idea that is realized by the creative crew of Arthitect Michelle Ilustre and Associates.

The design

The UNO coffeeshop is enclosed with stained glass panels of different colors and hues in varnished sturdy wood frames while the dining area, which is by the window, is provided with a row of tables set in a natural tone that would resemble a la church-like windows. Also, the ambiance is set by the multi-layered chandeliers hovering above. The spectacular landscape view of the Mactan International Airport Terminal is given out to guests.

Philippines top designer Philip Rodriguez perfected the overall staff’s attire with the sound of vibrant colors like green, burgundy and orange to not just provide the overall Filipino appeal of the restaurant but also utmost service to guests.

Food

UNO is actually consist of four action stations; the cold station where fresh seafood dishes like sushi and sashimi are up-for-grabs, the salad bar for light meals, the hot station which features the freshly-baked breads, dim sum dishes and sandwiches and; the interactive culinary station where desserts are found like pastries, cakes as well as Filipino favorites like the seasonal fruits and halo-halo.

An ala carte selection is also available at UNO for those who already know what they’re going to eat. The menu boasts the finest poultry, beef and seafood hinted with the regional and international flavors that are ingeniously prepared by renowned Executive Chef Eugene Guevarra.

UNO is located at the Waterfront Airport Hotel and Casino Mactan’s lobby level and is available from 5AM to 11PM. Daily breakfast meals are present from 530AM to 1030AM while the Lunch buffet is from 1130AM to 230PM and the Dinner buffet is from 6PM to 1030PM.
