    hello..

    I got the chance to see a copy of the Sunstar newspaper classified ads.And as written, resume will be submitted to University of Cebu-SAO.The deadline of the submission was due last Dec.5. It was kinda frustrating that I myself didnt get the opportunity to drop my CV on the dates specified.I just learned this recently.However, I am still optimistic that they will post again for us guys to apply and hopefully be given the privilege….

    When is the resort open? This is actually a big resort and the need for manpower is no joke. If they are slated to open early 2009,i think the training for the new staffs should commence half of 2008.Training new staffs is not that easy. For the service to be excellent, its takes a lot of working out or preparation. And this will not happen overnight. I was a pioneer of one of the known hotels in town. And as far as I could remember, our training took 5 months before we all hit the floor. We can’t deny the fact that successful applicants came from different establishments. Though they are in related positions but they have diverse learning that can’t be applied immediately to maybe Imperial’s standard. Working everyone’s difference itself is painstaking how much more making these staffs bend or adapt the standard abruptly.

    Job Description

    FRONT DESK CLERK

    Perform variety of service for guests of hotel establishment. Registers arriving guests, assigns rooms, and checks out guests at the end of their stay. Issues room key. Answers inquiries pertaining to hotel services; registration of guests; and shopping, dining, entertainment, and travel directions. Keeps records of room assignments and other registration information. Prepares and explains charges at time of check out and processes payment.

    The restaurant is a fine dining area under bakery depot. Duties include, but are not limited to – covering tables; setting utensils, napkins, decorations, condiments, candles, and service plates; presenting menu; suggesting courses; explaining daily specials; answering food preparation questions; recording diners’ choices; picking up and delivering items from bar, kitchen, and service areas; inquiring of needs; removing courses as completed; issuing bill; accepting payment. Different shifts available. Set up so people can order food at the counter and then we bring the food to their table. Catering which entails promoting the restaurants and services.
