Hilton Cebu Resort and Spa

Location: Lapulapu City, Cebu

I’ve never been in some of the most sophisticated and high-quality resorts in Cebu island part simply because most of these resorts are located with the neighboring island of Lapu-lapu City. And I find it great to have a feeling that this city will always be a part of the Cebu area. Also, it’s one of those things that I feel refreshed with especially when I want to have another set of environment and get out of the city.

Anyway, this long friend of mine came from the United States to visit his family. We were kind of close since high school and he asked me, and our long time friends, to go join him for the weekend. He said he wants to spend it on a beach resort to lavish the night and we can simply celebrate all by ourselves. We told him about the less-expensive beach resorts that we can muster but he told us that this time he wants us to go spend our time in one of the most expensive beach resorts we can think of. So, we didn’t hesitate to simply give him the major names in coastline fancies and we came up with the Hilton Hotel Cebu Resort and Spa.

Firs thing though, we didn’t mind with all the room, food and anything rates since it’s all charged to our career-flourishing good friend. We arrived their Friday evening and we chose to lay down on some of the resort’s beach chairs with light beer and food. They were able to provide us with their warm smile, great service, friendliness and accommodation even though, I thought, that these qualities only exist for the tourists but, I guess, I was wrong.

The rooms were spacious, clean and first class. I was mesmerized by these features since it’s actually my first time, since a long time, to spend not only a night but the whole weekend in a high-class beach resort. So, off we went and spent our night with our stories, gossips accompanied with booze and great food. Speaking of food, I am that kind of person that knows if it’s indeed good food and I found Manny O’s and Wine and Tapa’s food extraordinary. Anyway, the hotel lobby is perfected with the view of the ocean that is quite alluring and it gently gives you the breeze as well as the idea of simply getting away from it all.

Overall? The whole thing was great but the food, for me, is kind of expensive. I didn’t find the food worth its price. But then again, the whole place is great for a simple getaway, for the family and young children, teenagers and a romantic getaway. Oh, and of course, for the tourists. We didn’t try the spa though, but I find it relaxing and I’m kind of excited to try it out again soon.
