Our Beginnings

JY SQUARE – the very first business complex in Lahug, was first established in October 1988. JY Supermarket was the business anchor introduction at the square. It caters all market segments in the area surrounded by an array of subdivisions, business corporate offices and entertainment outlets.

The past decade saw an overwhelming rise in both the residential and commercial population not only with Lahug but all over Metro Cebu as well. The business landscape of Metro Cebu has opened its doors to more than 15 Call Centers at the IT Park and Cebu’s pride – the Cebu City Convention Center utilized as the ASEAN landmark. Some Manila-based Corporate Offices have also relocated their hubs in this region.

The Discovery Mall

The changing metropolis influenced JY Square Management Team to build the JY Discovery Mall where demand for more retail shops, internet cafes, travel, spa and salon services, food outlets, and entertainment centers are high.

JY Discovery Mall is managed by JOVIMA MANAGEMENT and DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION (JMDC). It is a three-level structure located in a 1.2 hectare land and currently covering almost 10,000 square meters of floor area.

JY Discovery Mall is at the center of it all, catering to a wide range of market segments. Cebu Marco Polo, Waterfront, North Wind and Crowne Garden Hotels are only 5 minutes drive away. Universities and Cebu’s famous restaurants are also a walking distance from the mall.
The Future

JY Square will reinvent itself to provide customers with a new lifestyle experience with upcoming projects in the complex. On going projects will delight customers with the opening of more exciting frescos, activity centers and innovative shops.
How To Get There

From Mactan Cebu International Airport Authority (MCIAA), it will take thirty (30) minutes by car or taxi. While from North and South Bus Terminal and Piers, our mall can be reached by public transportation ten (10) minutes from each origin. Our place is very visible and heart of the on-going Trans Central Highway to either north or south of Cebu Province.
