Cebu: Top Pick on Studio 23 

When we talk about Cebu, there are a lot of things that we can think of. There are the beaches, lifestyle, restaurants and business-related topics. A certain Bruce Cortes Bollozos have thought of something that will propel Cebu back to national television and he’s got the crew to help him sort out where to start and to end. For him, it’s the Top Pick show that will make way for everyone to know more about the areas in Visayas and
Mindanao. 

Bruce Cortes gathered sponsors to make the Top Pick pipedream turn to reality. Then slowly but surely, he was able to get the desired help from most companies here in
Cebu. 

The crew 

Bruce Cortes, as the producer, was also able to find the right people who can help him make Top Pick a show for everyone who simply wants to know more about what’s in Visayas and Mindanao. This he tapped one of the rawest but slick talents in
Cebu media industry, Remton Zuasola. I’ve known Remton for a bit though and he’s really got what it takes to direct the show Top Pick; enthusiasm and determination are one of his mantras when at work. Remton also picked editors Darcy Arguedo, Idden de los Reyes and John Labata to handle the editing.  

Other than the ones mentioned, cameramen, photographers and other members have also been included for the Top Pick production. 

Top Pick on the way Top Pick: Business, Lifestyle and Technology. Those were the essence of the show that will run its first show tomorrow, Wednesday, November 7, 2007 at 10:30 pm pre-empting the “The Oprah Winfrey Show” at Studio 23. Top Pick will discuss their first episode on how the idea started, preparations and behind the scenes shots. Also, what Bruce underwent as he gears up to host the show.  

Top Pick will run up to 12-13 episodes and some of them are: 

• Technological Leisure – local destinations that provide more than nature’s wealth but also technological connectivity

• Leaders and their Domain – Top Pick meets a leader whose aim is to serve its populace. Get to know about the essential plans to establish a city/municipality into prominence.

• Under the Sea/Health and Wellness – Get acquainted with
  Cebu’s top underwater destinations. Also, health and wellness is getting into the Cebuano culture; know more about health programs and top hospitals that cater to health and wellness needs.

• Beyond Learning Edifices – what stories do school buildings tell? How did it manage to produce local movers and shakers of their time?

12-13 weeks of Top Pick episodes wouldn’t be enough. At least I know already that it’s first potential name was “

Top
Peak”. It might’ve been that one but the present one’s nice.
