In celebration of the Mandaue City fiesta, the Mandauehanons are now getting busy and excited for one of the highlights of the occasion – the Miss Mandaue 2009. Last March 14, fifty-nine beautiful ladies underwent the screening at the CSWS Building, P. Burgos Street, Centro, Mandaue City, Cebu.

After series of selection processes, fifteen young women emerged as the best and became finalists for the Miss Mandaue 2009 pageant. Supporters and the rest of the audience can vote for their bets online through the pageant’s official site. Here are the finalists:

Grand Coronation Night will be held on May 7, 2009 at the Mandaue City Cultural and Sports Complex. The crowned Miss Mandaue 2009 will serve as ambassadress of goodwill and represent the people of Mandaue City in various gatherings. More than beauty, charm, and grace, the Miss Mandaue must also have the aptitude and wit to deliver her duties.

Miss Mandaue 2008 was Miss Rizzini Alexis Gomez. Feast day of Mandaue City is celebrated every 8th day of May in honor of St. Joseph.
