Monique Rae: Cebuana Pop-Rock Sensation
Cebu has been known to be a home of naturally talented individuals ranging from writers to artists. And it has proven itself once again with the coming of today’s pop-rock sensation, Monique Rae.

Kristina Monique de los Santos, her real name, was born and raised in Cebu City. She studied at Cebu International School. Even as a child then, she had already shown great potential as a singer. She had performed and sung in many of her school activities and guested on her mom’s shows. Her mother is a Cebuana diva herself, Eva Santos, lead singer of the Zee Band.
Growing up, she never left the limelight as she starred in the musical, Oliver!; became one of the hosts of ABS-CBN TV show, Sabado na Gyud; won the VJ Hunt of Studio 23…the list could go on.
Monique Rae had recently released her debut album “All Up to Me” under PolyEast Records. It contains songs mostly written by her and some by her mom. The song entitled “Halik sa Hangin” was written by Urbandub vocalist, Gabby Alipe. Monique describes her album as very personal – about love and life – which, however, she says people could very much relate to. The tracks:
1. All Up To Me
2. Set Me Free
3. Panaginip
4. Halik Sa Hangin
5. Free
6. Pwede Ba
7. Funny Feelings
8. Promises
9. Doon
10. With You
11. I Am Empty
12. Gunita
