Mooon Cafe: a comprehensive review (part 2)

Other than the Mexican-themed environment, the food is absolutely fantastic. As expected for one of the finest restaurants in Cebu, Mooon Café has inscribed Mexican food in the minds of Cebuanos and customers who dine here. There were actually a lot to choose from, particularly the well-liked Mooonsteak, which is Mooon Café’s version on how to lovingly pour the excellently-cooked pork steak with its lusciously delectable sauce. Other than that, I was enticed to know how the Fish Fillet with Mozzarella tastes like and it was indeed lovely. Other dishes that I’ve tried were the Beef Stroganoff, Karnes Pizza, Quesadillas and the ever-appetizing Mexican baby back ribs.

Aside from the main dishes, dessert is not absent in Mooon Café. I saw an ample of cakes there but I can only identify the strawberry cake and fruitcake. Other cakes really look yummy but I was already full at that time and I had to just finish my dish unto our meeting.

Schedule

Mooon Café is open Mondays-Sundays. For lunchtime, they’re open from 11AM-2PM; for dinner, they’re open from 5PM-11PM and is open until midnight on weekends.  Reservations are available through Mooon Café hotline, 253 3635.

The experience

As for the Mooon Café experience I had, it was absolutely one of the most memorable and one of the best in my 2007 dining experience. I was actually thinking about going back here and bring my whole family this Christmas.

It was actually my first ever visit in Mooon Café and it made a long-lasting impression. However, on that visit, there were also other people present beside the table that we sat on. They were extremely loud and it was really deafening. Well, it’s understandable though since it was a Christmas party held by employees from this certain company. There were customers who went out and settled somewhere though and the management could’ve reserved us on the second floor instead. But, overall, it was indeed a great dining experience for me. And just like Arnold, all I can say is “I’ll be back… in Mooon Café.”
