Moving on: Mandaue
Moving on: Mandaue
Well, as of this writing, the construction of the new flyover bound from Banilad to Talamban has started. This also, as of this writing, marked my first-ever post this February since last month. Wow. Busy days have indeed notched a new level unto my schedule, and for this, moving on is simply unrealistic but I proved it otherwise.
From an active life in Banilad to the busy streets of Mandaue- now that’s another way of changing things. From the looks of it, metropolis Cebu may have the biggest impact in the
Cebu’s business category major, but the neighboring city is not to be outdueled since they also have been putting up the strides lately when it comes to development.
New place, new experience
Well, my partner and I have moved on out of Banilad unto the new environment of Mandaue. We’ve actually been searching for months for a new place and have come up with the decision to take the option (after all, searching for an apartment in
Cebu is not that easy). Of course, major categories serious taken into serious discussions (for weeks, actually) and considerations and have came up with the following factors:
Accessibility – mostly one rides to the key places in Cebu (i.e. Ayala Center Cebu, downtown
Cebu, SM City Cebu, my workplace as well as other major places). Oh yeah, schools but I’m working now so I wouldn’t mind. Among those major places, there’s also a bank, restaurants, water refilling station, laundry station, key duplication stall and others.
Budget – well, apartments have plenty of something to offer like fully or semi-furnished with some additionals but came up a major critical decision after days of weighing the pros and cons. Of course, apartments with more features means you got to work for it for things to work out while the other option is just simply a matter of analyzing then take some time to ponder.
Environment – a quiet place would certainly be preferable but the city of
Mandaue is also a busy place to live in. We were actually lucky to find a place wherein a “hush” is important since people need the time to doze off, especially those who are working nightshift. Plus, it’s really chilly especially at night (January-February are rainy months anyway) but I don’t know about summer. I guess that’s something that I have to find out.
Overall I’m quite positive of those categories and other sub-categories also- well, at least for now, but who knows, Mandaue will bloom into a place of new business and accommodation opportunities, adding those to the area’s industrial haven.
