Old Cebu Pictures: Malacañang of Cebu, Then and Now

This old dilapidated building that sits at Cebu’s port area was built before the second World War . The building was used to be the headquarters of American military officials who led the liberation of the Philippines from the occupying Japanese forces.

After years of neglect, finally the administration of President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo took notice of and decided to restore the building’s old glory and transformed it into what is now called the Presidential Palace of the South or the Malacañan of Cebu.
