Named after Christopher Columbus or also known as Critobal Colon, Colon Street is the oldest street in the Philippines. During the Spanish Era, Colon was famous for its restaurants, movie houses, business establishments and night lights. Although, today it might not be the most popular place in Cebu City, Philippines, it is still known to be one the most important places in Cebu’s history. It is located at the center of Cebu, where it was designed to be the center of Commerce during those days.

Today, malls are just around every corner of Colon Street. Almost all of the main transportation vehicles pass by the street and getting here could be the easiest thing to accomplish. You will not need any maps, just ride the famous Jeepney or take a taxi going to colon and you should be there in a jiffy.
